This time we jump back to early 2002. Two of MEW's first "prominent" tag teams here in the combo of Eric Marx and Styrc 9 and Chippy Castro and Eddie Jacobs. Stryc 9 and Marx teamed together for awhile as "The Karnival Kliq" with Tristin Hayze(then "Malakim" and then "Pet") as Calista Lee(later "Lollipop" and simply "Kate"). They teamed across the Chicagoland for awhile and were a really solid team. On the other side of the ring is "Da Chronohollics". We have "The Perfect Drug" Eddie Jacobs and "The Highest of the High" Chippy Castro accompanied by the lovely "Crystal Meth". The ref here is KERISA and it's pretty chaotic stuff. It's two completely different styles. Marx and Stryc 9 wear tights, display athleticism, and look like wrestlers. Castro and Jacobs don't wear tights, are sloppy, and look like people you'd stay away from in most cases. Yet, these two held their own and had the crowd strongly behind them. The highlights of the match for me are the awkward finish, seeing Eric Marx manhandle Eddie Jacobs, and getting to share the greatness that is Chippy Castro.
