This match was silly. I’m somewhat confident that the pairing of Slappy! The Clown and Spanish Blitzkrieg was done due to someone no showing or something like that. Slappy came in as a joke character, in vein of a Doink but with a modern twist on it. Slappy would go on to be a pretty decent wrestler when given a chance and would be became a very solid hand on the card. Spanish Blitzkrieg was completely a guilty pleasure of mine. The character, an Ultimate Warrior spoof, was the brainchild of LWF’s Billy Whack and I HAD to have it on my shows. We’d only book the guy like one or two times more than this, but he was a nice guy and I guess the rumor was that he went to Japan to wrestle under a different character. None the less, both of these guys were nothing more than jobber fodder for Team Dammit. It’s a fun little “squash match” and served the purpose to advance the tournament.
