MEW TAG TEAM TOURNAMENT 2003 - FINALS

VS.
"Wet-N-Wild" (Pierce/Hiztory)
Event: WRECKAGE 2003

I was big fan of this whole tournament, but the finals are what we were all waiting for. Within this tournament we had actually accomplished in building two very different and well accepted home grown tag teams. In our early days we had “The Lost Boyz” and while they were well accepted they were kids that were 130 pounds soaking wet and with sand in their pockets. If they’d of lasted, they’d of had a fun time but besides them, and maybe the “Da Chronohollics” MEW hadn’t really established any real home grown teams. Not saying the other old school teams like Karnival Kliq/Styc-It-In Express didn’t contribute greatly, it wasn’t the same. This was MEW at MEW’s best. It was FAR from pretty, but this was us. These two teams beat the hell out of each other and put on a 20 minute highlight reel. I might even go as far as to say THIS was the peak of all four men’s MEW run. Their talents and matches just clicked. Putting together MEW shows were rough at times, but these two teams became sure shot booking. Wet-N-Wild would come out with squirt guns and the crowds loved them. The Super Villains were jerks and as Keith Evans has repeatedly told me “one of the coolest tag teams he’s ever seen”. I can’t really argue with him, but then again I’m pretty damn bias.
