The “Maniak Title” is a championship that can be defended in any kind of match be it hardcore, multi-man matches, or really in any fashion. Luckily, we avoided announcing what kind of match this was going to be beforehand. The original intent was to make it a casket match, but of course that that didn’t pan out. So in desperation we threw together the “Hells Playground Match”. It’s basically a hardcore match with chairs and canes being provided. At the show before this, Sabbath kidnapped Tank’s manager, valet, and love interest “Pookie”. So in order to get her back he had to put the belt on the line. They went at it, but it’s pretty weird. Tank became a good guy as the crowd boo’d Sabbath’s shots. This match is just too long. It should have been like three or four minutes shorter, but this match does accomplish one thing… the MEW debut of “Morganna”! “Pookie” was dead and the evil goth “Queen of the Damned” was born. She assisted with Sabbath in getting the win. Then Sabbath has to beat up the ref (“The Man”). This match was complete chaos. The crowd didn’t know who to cheer for and started becoming pretty restless waiting for some direction. Then with Morganna debuting and “The Man” getting into it with Sabbath… AND we forget that Sabbath wins and thus ending Tank’s 400 plus day reign as Maniak Champion. Cluster-what?
