In this Tornado Tag Match, we see Sabbath defending the Maniak Title along with Dimension against his arch nemeses Alto and Grim Reaper. I was a fan of Sabbath and “The Damned” feuding with Alto/Reaper. It was a solid mid-card program that proved dependable for most of 2003. It wasn’t the best stuff on the show, but there are moments in pretty much all of their matches that still stand out and I’m sure others remembered. This one was pretty cool because of Sabbath and Alto’s brawling on the outside stuff. It just looked good. This was towards to end of the feud, obviously, so we see Alto and Reaper really clicking together as a team. Some of their spots are highlight reel material for ANY wrestling company out there. At almost ten minutes, a tad too long but overall it’s an effective match. We see ANOTHER “masked man” come to Alto and Reaper’s aid at the end. This was the debut of “Danger Mask”. He would only be on two shows, but is responsible for ending one of the longest Maniak Title reigns had by anyone. After months of fighting for it, Alto and Reaper finally became Co-Maniak Champions. The first belt held by either men in MEW.
