Semi-solid midcard matches like this is what carried MEW for awhile. Camera work aside, this is a pretty decent match when you take in the circumstances of the situation. In this match we see Johnny Showtime and Scott Powers teaming up fresh off their Wrestlefest 2 returns against the first time grouping of the returning Grim Reaper and second MEW match Alto. The camera angle leaves a lot to be desired, but the majority of the action is there. The crowd is into this and that’s what saves it. It’s far from pretty, but it’s entertaining and has some cool spots. I don’t get why this match was over 11 minutes and not closer to 8 when there was nothing really on the line and as far as I remember this wasn’t one of the main events. Never the less, it doesn’t lag or get too stale and the action and crowd is kept at a good pace. Not a bad match at all.
