To say the Maniak Title, at least while on Tank Escobar, was a hardcore title would be redundant. The “Maniak Title” was set in place a belt that sets it own rules. The “Maniak Championship” had one rule and that was that each defense be in some sort of gimmick match. Tank’s foray was street fights, death matches, and hardcore stuff. He did it well. On this specific night, Tank chooses “Bring Your Own Weapons” as the title defense stipulation. Sadly, Tank’s biological make up and the shows format for the night did not match up. We were forced to send his manager “Pookie” out to the ring to work a promo. At this point I don’t think she had ever touched a microphone but we were stuck. It was a surreal moment as the crowd of about 100 crammed into a small Knights of Columbus chants "Crackers! Crackers!" back at valent/manager Pookie, who just delivered the most vulgar and un-PC promo in MEW's history we frantically wait for Tank, who was taking a shit in the small one toilet bathroom instead of defending his MEW Maniak ...Title against "Da Highest of the High" Chippy Castro. Tank finally makes his way to the ring and all is well. These two beat each other up. That’s all there is to it. We see broken wood, a VCR, a trash can, and other random goodies used in this match as they try to wear each other down. In the end, Tank would prove too much for Chippy but it’s still a train-wreck quality journey. Again… this is “not safe for work”. I’m sure you’ve heard worse, but don’t watch this around business associates, children, or pregnant women. I warned ya.
