I suppose it’s good that I’m transferring these over to some form of digital copy before these tapes turn to ash or something. Sorry about that, but it’s still definitely worth checking out. *)
It feels like this situation happened too many times. MEW would crown a champion be it World, North American or Tag and the champion would leave the company or get hurt before they could lose it. It happened with two of the Tag champs, two North American champs, and two MEW World Enterprise champs. In retrospect, that kind of sucks. We’d build up on things, get them going, and then bam! No closure! On the brightside, it left us open for a lot of surprises and “special moments”. At this show, the champion was Johnny Mac. For some reason he was gone and we had to move forward. So we have a battle royal and as you’ll see the results were unexpected. Good stuff.
