If you adjust a little, it works and you can still hear some commentary, the crowd, and the bump sounds. This is a horror of dealing with old VHS tapes. I suppose it’s good that I’m transferring these over to some form of digital copy before these tapes turn to ash or something. Sorry about that, but it’s still definitely worth checking out. *)
What an epic! On paper this match sounds ridiculous. Ryu would only last one show with this character in MEW. He would quickly become Dimension and do stuff with the Damned. He used this gimmick all over the Chicagoland area and did well with it. He is the vet here. Meanwhile, The Spanish Blitzkrieg was green. He wasn’t around all that long and didn’t get to really evolve in MEW. I’m fairly certain this was his only singles match in MEW. Like I said, this match seems like it would be a little iffy though. It turned out to be pretty crazy. Any match that involves powder, Ryu/Dimension going to the top rope, the Warrior Press, AND a turn at the end is cool with me. The characters make you feel like you’re in the 80’s. It might be a little long, but it’s a fun one.
