I suppose it’s good that I’m transferring these over to some form of digital copy before these tapes turn to ash or something. Sorry about that, but it’s still definitely worth checking out. *)
Wylde had just lost the MEW North American Title and Pierce was fresh off his debut singles match at the show before. These two worked pretty good together. They knew each other’s boundaries and pushed the hell out of them. They’d end up working again down the line, but this was a solid little first time. Pierce’s drop kick to the knee was brutal and Wylde’s brainbuster finisher was stiff as hell. At the time it was just another match, but it would be a rung in the ladder of an ongoing feud.
